How to Use Multiple Monitors in a Remote Desktop Session

Switch between a remote PC's displays mid-session, choose how the picture fits your window, and keep the mouse on the screen you are viewing.

How to Use Multiple Monitors in a Remote Desktop Session

Many PCs run two or three monitors. ScreenSharePRO detects all of them on the host and lets you move between them without reconnecting.

Before you start

Switching the host's monitors needs the desktop app at both ends.

1. Connect to the host

Start a session with a host that has more than one display. Its displays are detected automatically.

2. Pick the display you need

Use the display switcher to choose a monitor. You can switch again at any point in the session.

3. Work on it

Your mouse and keyboard act on the monitor you are viewing, so there's no guessing which screen a click lands on.

Make the picture fit

  • Fit to window or fullscreen scales the remote screen to your view.
  • Original size shows one remote pixel per local pixel, for sharp text (desktop viewer).
  • You can also change the host's screen resolution from the viewer (desktop app at both ends).
