FAQ

Common questions

Which platforms does ScreenSharePRO run on?
ScreenSharePRO runs on Windows (10, 11 and Server 2016+) as a desktop app, and in any modern browser through the web app — so you can host or join a session with nothing to install. Native macOS, Linux and mobile apps aren't available yet.
How do I connect to another machine?
The host shares a short session code, which can be protected with a password. The viewer enters that code to connect over a direct, encrypted peer-to-peer link. Signed-in accounts also get a stable session ID, so your saved hosts reconnect in a click.
Is my session secure?
Yes. Screen and data travel over encrypted WebRTC. Accounts are authenticated, session codes expire and can require a password, and the host stays in control — only the host can grant or revoke a viewer's keyboard and mouse access, or disconnect them.
Can I control a machine through a UAC prompt?
Yes. With the optional SYSTEM-level session agent, the viewer keeps seeing and controlling the host straight through Windows UAC consent prompts and the secure desktop — no black or frozen screen.
Do I need to change my firewall or VPN?
Usually not. Connections are negotiated peer-to-peer over WebRTC, and the client automatically recovers after a network change such as switching Wi-Fi or connecting to a VPN.
Does it support multiple monitors?
Yes. All of the host's displays are detected, you can switch the shared monitor live during a session, and remote input follows the screen you're viewing.
