Show Everyone's Pointer
Everyone in the session sees every pointer, each with a name under it. Viewers point without dragging the host's mouse around, and the host's own hand always wins.
Off by default. Turn it on in Settings on the computer being shared.
Key benefits of Show Everyone's Pointer
See who is pointing
Every pointer in the session is shown, each with a name under it.
Hover still works
While the host isn't using the mouse, the viewer who is moving gets the real cursor, so tooltips and hover menus work for them.
The host's hand wins
The moment the host moves their mouse it comes straight back to them, and viewers' clicks wait until they stop.
How Show Everyone's Pointer works
Windows has one real cursor. ScreenSharePRO draws everyone's pointer, and lends the real one to whoever needs it.
-
Turn it on
On the host, switch on Show everyone's pointer in Settings. It is off by default.
-
Connect
Viewers join the session as usual.
-
Point together
Everyone sees everyone's named pointer. A viewer's pointer no longer drags the host's around.
What you get with Show Everyone's Pointer
- Each pointer carries its person's name
- The real cursor goes to the viewer who is moving, only while the host is idle
- Moving the host's mouse takes the cursor back at once; viewers' clicks wait until the host stops
- Typing is never blocked
